Products & Services

Dr. Degen, Village Animal Clinic's Chief of Medicine, is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist and expert in ultrasound, endoscopy and cancer medicine. With endoscopy, she can examine and get samples of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system and urogenital tract all without surgery. Dr. Degen accepts patients through referral cases from veterinarians throughout Florida.

Our on-site laboratory lets us to run complete panels, including blood, urine and parasite, while you wait.

Village Animal Clinic provides all kinds of elective and emergency surgery. Our Chief Surgeon, Dr. Linda Wilson, performs surgery on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday each week. Our surgical suite is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment and anesthesia for safer sedation and a quicker recovery period.

Dental disease is the most usual illness encountered in veterinary medicine today and affects 9 out of 10 pets. Unfortunately, it is also the most under treated disease. Pets often go for years with painful gingivitis or even severe tooth root abscesses without noticeable clinical signs to the owner.

Dental disease puts tremendous demands on your pet's organs, weakening the liver, kidney and heart. This additional stress can affect your pet's happiness and shorten life expectancy.

I've been coming to Village animal clinic since 1998. They were in North Palm Beach ,we started with Dr. B . At this location Dr Prior has taken amazing care of Jake the lab . Cody the morky and now Luca my new baby boy . Through the years I've come to love everyone @ VAC from Dr. Prior, junior and all the techs and the girls at the front desk.
Everyone there genuinely cares about you and and your fur baby. I'm very grateful for all they've done for us through the years.

  • Getting a appt when needed

I've recently had a chance to return & by far they are the best. When there's a concerned need for an appt they always get you in & in a timely manner. Dr Prior is awesome ! Staff is very friendly also ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love Village Animal Clinic. Dr Prior, Rachel and the rest of the team are the best! My Milo loves both Dr Prior and Rachel. He can be feisty but he is very nice while inside. I always come when Rachel is working. Friendly employees always attentive to my needs with Milo. Thank you for your hard work. I recommend Village Animal Clinic. They are truly the best! They care for their patients.

The staff, top to bottom is amazing!! They just love every animal they care for.

The service and care is always above and beyond. Great staff and Docs! We will never go anywhere else.

The doctors and staff are amazing! We would like to take Dr Wilson back to NJ. When we go! We always know our dog is getting the best care!! Never a doubt!! It's a great feeling!!

They are an amazing full service vet practice. I cannot day enough good things about them. Dr Prior and Dr Wilson are fantastic and the techs are always so friendly. We found them 10 years ago by recommendation of many do owners. They board pets an have doggie day care.

The staff is wonderful and very caring. Dr. Wilson took excellent care of my cat, Amber. She was great with her and took time with me, especially when Amber was diagnosed with Diabetes. I would highly recommend Village Animal Clinic to anyone looking for the perfect veterinarians and staff for their pets.

Village Animal Clinic has the kindest, most caring staff you could ever ask for! Dr. Prior is amazing; she and the techs and front desk staff were all so professional and reassuring (which is so important! I was very worried about my guy!) after I had to bring my cat in suddenly. She called the next day to check on him, as well. My cats will always be Village patients.

Village Animal Clinic is professional and caring. They have been my primary veterinarian for more than 10 years for my cat and dogs. They always provide access and compassionate care when my pets have a need. I have referred several friends to the highly competent staff
Dr Lapsley always checks on my pets when they have had an illness or procedure. He was so patient when we had to euthanize our 16 year old terrier mix. You don't find that degree of sincerity in many people

What a wonderful experience I had with my new cat at VAC. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the minute I made the appointment on the phone through the entire visit, follow up and picking up his medicines. Clean environment - very comfortable for the pets - not sterile and cold like some others. Junior and Dr. Jennifer were exceptional with their attention to us, explaining everything I asked. I was truly impressed with the entire staff and experience. Thank you so much!

Great Vets, cheerful personnel and work well with our pets. We have 4 cats and have had issues with a couple of them and they were always able to fit me into the schedule to get them looked at.

Great Vets office! Took our sick dog in, and they treated her on the spot. Very reasonable price, they really cared about our dog, and it showed the minute we walked in. She is sleeping comfortably now, and we hope the medication is exactly what she needed!

  • Great care, the doctors and staff take their time and make sure we understand our options

We LOVE this clinic. I have been going here for 20 years - my parents and in-laws have been going since the late 1960s. The staff and doctors are compassionate and knowledgeable. We and our pets are always warmly greeted. We have referred in so many of our friends to Village - and all of our friends feel the same way. We meet people on the sand bar near Singer Island and many of them go there - and feel the same as we do. Dr Berkenblit and Dr Wilson did emergency surgery on our old black lab - and saved his life - we had almost 3 more wonderful years with him after that. When we finally did put him down, Dr Wilson came to our house and she cried as much as we did. We board our dogs and our cats there when we are out of town. Our new puppy is going to Doggie Day Care there - she gets some basic training as well as learns how to get along with other dogs - and it wears her out, so she is not crazy when we get home at night.

  • Close to my house and friendly knowledgeable staff.

I have never been to a vet hospital with such caring and compasionate staff. The Doctor was so knowlegable and fixed my pet's problem in just 1 visit. It was the first time that I visited a clinic where I felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing. Facility was clean and had all the equipment to get answers to my pets chronic problems quickly.

Just like us, animals can experience joint pains as they get older. Sometimes this is caused by normal wear and tear from aging, while in other cases it is a symptom of arthritis. It's hard watching your pet slow down and struggle to move without feeling pain. Thankfully, there are treatments that can help them manage the pain and improve their overall quality of life. Therapeutic laser treatment is an innovative pet treatment that eases pain and improves mobility. This treatment is useful for animals that are recovering from surgery or dealing with chronic aches and pains.

The early stages of your pet's life are the most important. We are here to advise you on potty training, behavioral training and the medical care that your pet needs in the early stages of their life. Puppies and kittens will go through a series of vaccinations starting at nine weeks of age. They will receive vaccinations and parasite prevention every 3 to 4 weeks until they reach 16 weeks of age. They should also be starting their heartworm and flea prevention at this time. Without preventative care, your dog may be at risk of heartworms, which cause a potentially deadly infection of the heart and lungs of your pet.

After completing a yearly or semi-annual comprehensive physical examination, our veterinarian will evaluate your pet's age, breed, and lifestyle to determine the risk of potential disease. More than 10% of pets brought to veterinary clinics for checkups have some type of underlying disease or abnormality. Many of these pets appear normal upon physical examination, and their abnormalities would go undetected without a wellness screening - a blood test designed to detect these silent problems. Early detection of disease is key.
